Health

There are many opportunities at Notre Dame to serve in the sector of health. Opportunities that go beyond the classroom can include volunteering with the St. Joseph County’s American Red Cross, working with those struggling with addiction at Life Treatment Centers, and providing health care to the underserved in our community through the St. Joseph Health System. A full list of opportunities can be found in the Civic Engagement Directory located at socialconcerns.nd.edu.

The Memorial Hospital of South Bend also has volunteering opportunities for students. Additionally, students can volunteer in the St. Joseph Health System volunteer program.

On campus, students can get involved with clubs such as Global Medical Brigades, Be The Match, Camp Kesem, Diabetes Support Group, Foundation for International Medical Relief for Children and many more that can be found under “Service” at http://sao.nd.edu/groups/categories.html.
